HURRICANE SEASON


This sites name comes from my love of storms. I used to be a meteorology major way back in the day, and decided that I did not like math all that much. Anyway, hurricane season started June 1st and looks to be active.

In fact, it's already getting started. Break out the tracking maps!

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

AN UNUSUALLY WELL-ORGANIZED TROPICAL WAVE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR
IS LOCATED 1400 MILES EAST OF THE SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS.
SATELLITE IMAGES INDICATE THAT THE SHOWER ACTIVITY HAS INCREASED
AND THAT A TROPICAL DEPRESSION MAY BE FORMING. THIS SYSTEM IS
MOVING WESTWARD 15 TO 20 MPH AND COULD BECOME A TROPICAL CYCLONE
TONIGHT OR WEDNESDAY.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.
