I'm taking a brief break from my few hours of peace to say I'm heartened by Colin Powell's statement that the UN will survive. And it will. It does so much more than just security stuff, so it has to. And think about it, the UN was not involved in the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan, the American-British-French-Australian action in Vietnam, or the attack on Panama. And it lived through it.

We will survive this crisis. We have to. I have to believe that, and noone can take that belief away.

Even so, Godspeed to the troops. God help us all. And...God Bless America.
