I've noted a really irksome debating technique (known as the strawman) that people seem to use. It brings up points that are totally irrelavant. You can see evidence of it here at Talk Left in the comments section of a really good post about the rules for asylum being changed for women, and not in a good way. Of course, someone changed the subject to Iraq, and the entire topic was moot.


Some strawmen are particuarly hard to burn down as they should be. Even so, they annoy me. GRRrrrrrrr.
